2010 Creativity – Photo

So I bought myself a Canon T2i, and so far I love it. It takes awesome pictures and amazing high def video. I am hoping that I will be even more inspired to be creative… I mean, I don’t have any excuses now… Not that I really did before.

Here’s a picture I took of the rain drops on a plant outside of the church building. I “tweaked” it in Photoshop and now here it is for your viewing enjoyment.

2010 Creativity, resumed

I borrowed my dad’s Nikon D90 for a little bit. I am thinking about getting a DSLR camera and there are some events coming up where I wanted a nice camera. Jill and I went to Orange City, IA to visit Alli and Jose, whose wedding I am officiating this summer. We were driving around and ended up at a large Catholic church. It was really beautiful, especially the stained glass. Here’s my favorite picture I took.

2010 Creativity, week 3

2010 Creativity, week 2

One of my “hobbies” is shooting and editing video. I recently got a JAG35 adapter for my Canon HV30. One of the things I wanted to get was a rail system for my camera. I decided that I would take this opportunity to build my own. So, here it is. It seems pretty simple, but it was a little harder than I thought. I am excited to see how it works.

2010, A Year of Creativity

This year I am going to try something new. It’s not a resolution, just something that I wanted to do. My goal is that each week in 2010 I will “create” something. It might be a painting or drawing, it might be a video or a picture, it might even be something out of wood or clay. I don’t know exactly what it will be, but I want to start getting the creative juices flowing. So, the plan is to have at least 52 creative thing by the end of the year. I will post them here for you to see, so keep me accountable.

My first project of the year was this video. It was done after our high school retreat. I hope you enjoy it.
